The BSM6-12 fully enclosed inflatable switchgear features a modular unit design, allowing for flexible combinations tailored to various applications. It consists of two main categories: fixed-unit configurations and expandable units, effectively meeting the diverse needs of substations for compact, versatile switchgear solutions.
The BSM6-12 Fully Enclosed Gas-Insulated Switchgear is a completely sealed system, with all live components and switching mechanisms housed within a stainless steel enclosure. This design ensures that the entire switchgear remains unaffected by external environmental conditions, guaranteeing reliable operation, personal safety, and virtually maintenance-free performance. By opting for an expandable busbar system, users can achieve any desired configuration, enabling full modularity. The extended busbars feature safe insulation and shielding, further enhancing reliability and safety. Additionally, the BSM6-12 fully enclosed gas-insulated switchgear supports TV-based automation solutions, embodying the concept of intelligent switching while minimizing on-site installation and commissioning efforts.
The BSM6-12 fully enclosed inflatable switchgear is available in both a non-expandable standard configuration and an expandable standard configuration. Thanks to its combination of full and semi-modules, along with its inherent scalability, it offers exceptionally versatile flexibility.

Designed for operation under indoor conditions (20°C) with a lifespan exceeding 30 years.
Structural Features
●BSM6-12 Fully Enclosed Gas-Insulated Switchgear Series uses SF6 gas as the arc-extinguishing and insulating medium.
●The switchgear features a fully sealed, fully insulated design; the busbars, switches, and live components are completely enclosed within a stainless steel housing.
●The cavity is filled with SF6 gas at 1.4 bar, achieving a protection rating of IP67. This ensures the entire switch device remains completely unaffected by external environmental conditions—and even in extreme scenarios like brief water immersion, the switch continues to operate reliably. Plus, the product requires no maintenance throughout its lifetime.
●The switchgear is equipped with a comprehensive "five-protection" interlocking system, effectively eliminating any risk of human error that could lead to operational failures involving personnel or equipment.
●All switchgear units are equipped with reliable safety pressure-relief channels, ensuring the personal safety of operators even in extreme situations.
●Switchgear is divided into two categories: fixed-unit assemblies and expandable-unit assemblies.
●Switchgear cabinets typically feature front-mounted incoming and outgoing lines, but can also be configured for side-outgoing lines or side extensions depending on the installation location.
● The cabinet features convenient installation dimensions and is suitable for spaces with limited room as well as environments with challenging conditions.
●The switchgear can be equipped with electric, remote-control, and monitoring devices according to the user's specific requirements.

The absolute pressure of SF6 gas is 1.4 bar at temperatures below 20°C.
The annual gas leakage rate is 0.2% per year.
Protection rating IP67; gas chamber stainless steel thickness: 3.0 mm.
Normal operating environment conditions: Maximum temperature 40°C, minimum temperature -40°C; maximum average relative humidity ≤95%, and altitude ≤2,500 meters.
Busbars: 400 mm Cu busbar inside the switchgear, and a 150 mm² Cu grounding busbar in the switchgear.
Color: Front panel of the switchgear cabinet in RAL 7012, side panels and front cover plate of the cable compartment in RAL 7035.
